MLK Jr. Day 2007
Today, at least here in the United States, we're celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day in recognition of a man who was far ahead of his time and helped to bring us closer to his vision of worldwide harmony. He changed the world from a struggle for power to one where the ethics of every political or business decision are scrutinized. While we're still very far from utopia, I believe we are at least working away from many of the injustices of the past.
Today, if you've got some time, take a look at some of his powerful sermons. They're all rather long, but well worth the read. And make sure to tell your children about Dr. King, lest the errors of our past come back to haunt us in the future.
Thank you Lord, for sending such a great man to help remind us of what is important. It's not how we are different, but the similarities we have in Your eyes.
